About Emissaries

Re-formed following lineup changes, the current incarnation of Emissaries consists of Martyn Clews, Ian Comfort and Stuart Cheetham. Fusing together influences as eclectic as legends such as Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix with more alternative artists such as Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and The Goo Goo Dolls. The band delivers a highly energetic mix of what Surface Unsigned Magazine dubbed "Blue-Edged Rock with Melodic, Soulful Vocals and Funk-Inspired Bass Lines".

The band has been gigging steadily over the last few years and have played on many of the more prestigious stages locally including The Rainbow, The Bar Fly, The Robin 2, The River Rooms and The Actress and Bishop. In addition to this they have achieved semi-final status in multiple competitions including Surface Unsigned and The Robin 2's Live Band Of The Year Competition.

In June of 2010 Emissaries cut their first demo EP at "Severn Valley Studios" in Hallow, Worcestershire with Producer Jared Bryant. The four tracks on the self-titled EP serve as an example of the Bands sound whilst doing everything to capture their live energy on stage.

The band returned to the studio with producer Jared Bryan in 2013 to work on the follow-up to their first self-titled EP. The latest CD entitled "The Blueprint EP" sees the band go in a funkier, more melodic direction, whilst still staying true to their rock influences.

In 2015 brand new material was added to the live set and more recording took place in 2016 and 2017.

The band are always writing and recording new material and play live as much as possible in an effort to get their music heard and encourage their fan base to grow. They are also constantly approaching local independent record labels in order to move their career to the next level.
